QUETA LAVAT RECEIVED THE GOLDEN ARIEL TO ENLIGHTEN THEIR WORK AND TRAJECTORY
Queta Lavat, who was named Queen of La Carrera Panamericana in 1950, received from the Mexican Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences (AMACC) the Golden Ariel at the Palace of Fine Arts. This award was granted for his 74 years of uninterrupted career in film, theater, television and dubbing. Marking an entire generation within the performance in our country.
Queta Lavata expressed his emotion for receiving the award “When I was notified, I did not expect such news at my 89 years of age, but I did want it, I had been longing for it for a long time, because I started acting at the beginning of the decade of 40, without imagining how long my career was going to be.
Queta Lavat, considered one of the “Pearls” of the golden age of national cinema, is the only survivor of the famous classic film “Dos tipos de cuidado”, acting opposite Jorge Negrete and Pedro Infante.
