TIMING & TRACKING SYSTEM
Dear competitors,
As you may know, this year we will have a new provider for La Carrera monitoring system, which will also be in charge of the timing during the event.
The system is called RallySafe and you will find an introduction video below:
It is important to order your mounting and pre-wiring kit now so that you can arrive ready for verifications. This kit will be your own and once mounted on your car, will leave you ready to compete in any other event where RallySafe is used.
Here is a link for registered competitors in La Carrera Panamericana to order it as son as posible (it is important that you select the lengths of each cable for optimal installation).
For all participants, when paying your order, it is important to mention “La Carrera Panamericana” in the related event field during your checkout to have the SAS staff pre-programming your device.
For the Sport & Classic Tour competitors, mounting should be a temporary kit with an adhesive antenna and you must include a suction cup for placement on the inside of the windshield.
Note: The suction cup does not appear as an option in the store, you must select the “Flat mount base” + “50mm Mount Connector” options and add the note during the checkout of your shopping cart.
If you want to buy an additional suction cup, here is the direct link.
Once you receive your kit, you must assemble it according to the downloadable instruction manual below:
We draw your attention regarding the electrical power supply of the equipment, which must be connected directly to the battery in order to have it always energized despite the position of the car's current cutout.
We remind you that it is the responsibility of each competitor to arrive with their kit installed for the technical verifications of the event.
Cars that do not have their kit installed and connected will not be able to obtain the release of their car to compete.
